  2. Reminder of Activity 2 priorities • Technology to address issues preventing remote healthcare • Two major strands • ICmetrics: Secure data via encryption based directly on system properties • Frequency Management: Utilise wireless communications technology Efficiently

ICmetric Progress • Implementing a faster tracing method that allows for precise program profiling. • Designing experiments for data collection required for feature extraction in functional and frequency space. • Defining requirements to basic numbers used in encryption key generation. • Two papers in press.

Frequency Management Progress • New student: Osman Rakibet • The use of stretchable RFID tag will give an opportunity to patient to control the wheelchair without a joystick. • RFID tag brings another advantage, all the process will be done wirelessly. While the RFID reader is placed onto the wheelchair, the distance of chip from the reader will stay roughly the same all the time and won’t cause any connection problems. • Placing RFID tag to certain places of body such as wrist, will give a patient to be able to control the wheelchair by a small movement of his body. • By designing two port structure, change in X and Y axis can be assigned to special commands for controlling the wheelchair.
