  30. MOE KLCID Nanjing University Summary • Multiple methods provided results with similar general patterns on the shear velocity and settling velocity estimations. • The SPM concentration variation was found to be similar as that of the shear velocity, which is dominated by resuspension within the bottom boundary layer. • The floc size variations are limited by the turbulent eddy evolution during a tidal cycle. The status of turbulent shear determines the aggregates and deflocculating processes, including the settling velocity. • JOURNAL OF GEOPHYSICAL RESEARCH: OCEANS, VOL. 118, 1–18, doi:10.1002/jgrc.20340, 2013
