Don’ts: DON’T sign up for social media without your parents permission DON’T give your password to anyone DON’T respond to messages from people you don’t know DON’T share any contact information with anyone Do’s • Ask parents for help choosing acceptable web sites • All passwords should be given to your parents • Tell an adult if someone makes you feel bad or uncomfortable • Be nice and respectful to other peoples feelings and beliefs • Share with parents your online friends. You only know what the people have posted about themselves • Pick passwords that doesn’t contain personnel information (gender, age, location, or name) Online safety precautions
