  3. 2 Protect your password • Create secure passwords of at least eight characters that don’t use common words. • Don’t tell anyone your password unless completely necessary.

  4. 3 Social Networking Sites If you are on a social networking site, only put things on it you want everyone to see.

  5. 4 Buying items online Know who you’re buying from and how much it will really cost. If you have to give any personal information, know what they will do with it.

  6. 5 Free Software on the Internet Only download free software off the internet from a well-known source you trust. Free downloads are more likely to contain viruses.
