The ACCENT Training and Education Fellowship 2005 offers young atmospheric scientists from Eastern Europe a unique opportunity to study in the field of atmospheric sciences at leading research centers in Western Europe. This fellowship provides a grant of €5,000 for a study period of 3-4 months at ACCENT partner institutions. The program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of early-career scientists while fostering collaboration and exchange of best practices in atmospheric research.

Fellowship 2005 Fellowship 2005 for Atmospheric Science Teachers from Eastern Europe Task “Training & Education” (T&E) in ACCENT Training and Education in the Network of Excellence (NoE) in Atmospheric Composition Change (ACCENT) in FP6 proposes to award a fellowship to a university teacher from Eastern Europe, who would like to exchange experience on best practice in teaching atmospheric composition change at the postgraduate level. The ACCENT T&E Fellowship 2005 (5k€) for Teachers from Eastern Europe is offered for a period of 1 month to work and interact with one or more western European institutions of Higher Education that are ACCENT Partners.
Fellowship 2005 for Atmospheric Science Teachers from Eastern Europe Task “Training & Education” (T&E) in ACCENT Winner: Ülo Niinemets Born: 19.03.1970, in Tartu, Estonia Affiliation: Dept. Plant Physiology, University of Tartu, Riia 23 Description of the project: 1. Prepare and give several lectures on the physiological and physico-chemical controls of plant-emitted volatile compounds. The set of lectures given will be a basis for a future curriculum “physiology of volatile compound emissions” at the University of Tartu. 2. Learn to use proton-transfer reaction mass spectroscopy (PTR-MS), which is a technique specifically developed at the hosting institution. PTR-MS technology is planned to be implemented at the Department of Plant Physiology to append existing GC/FID and GC/MS techniques.
