  3. Review 1 Peter 1:1–2 (NLT) This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. 2 God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace.

  11. Change Agents of Life & Hope THE BELIEVER’S SECURED POSITION God caused us to be born again John 1:13 (NLT) They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

  12. Change Agents of Life & Hope 1 John 3:9 (ESV) No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. Titus 3:5 (NLT) He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
