The SIDA/Sweden retreat held at Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha on January 20-21, 2011, focused on the support of educational initiatives in Tanzania. Key discussions included General Budget Support, with 1,800 MSEK allocated from 2009-2012; the Zanzibar Education Development Plan with an investment of 40 MSEK from 2010-2013; and strategic projects in ICT for Teachers Training and Secondary Schools. Civil society organization support was also addressed, highlighting key projects such as UWEZO and HAKIELIMU.
