SIDA/Sweden Education Strategy and Support Initiatives Retreat – January 2011

The SIDA/Sweden retreat held at Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha on January 20-21, 2011, focused on the support of educational initiatives in Tanzania. Key discussions included General Budget Support, with 1,800 MSEK allocated from 2009-2012; the Zanzibar Education Development Plan with an investment of 40 MSEK from 2010-2013; and strategic projects in ICT for Teachers Training and Secondary Schools. Civil society organization support was also addressed, highlighting key projects such as UWEZO and HAKIELIMU. The retreat aimed at enhancing donor coordination and aligning with new strategic priorities.
