Associate Professor Yi-Hua Chen has contributed significantly to understanding maternal mental health's impact on offspring and pregnancy outcomes through various nationwide population-based studies in Taiwan. Her research highlights increased mortality risks among offspring of mothers with postnatal depression and the association between severe depression and cancer risks. Additionally, studies reveal adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with rheumatoid arthritis. Current projects focus on maternal depressive symptoms, paternal psychopathology, and mental health interventions for postpartum women.
