  7. Houston Middle SchoolOctober 13-17 Announcements Haunted Houston Mad Dr. Dias and the PTA present Haunted Houston. It’s Alive! Please join us for Haunted Houston on Oct 17 and Oct 18 from 6 to 9 for an electrifying time. Buy a punch card this week for $20. Help support your school! Students who buy a punch card this week will get to come to school in their Haunted Houston outfit on Friday.

  8. NJHS Members There will be a meeting this Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 6:30 in the gym . Roll will be called and all members are expected to be present. We will be making preparations for the NJHS Induction Ceremony. Also, Haunted Houston Jack-o-lanterns are due in on Wednesday and or Thursday, Oct. 15 and 16. All new inductee fees should have been paid to Mrs. Walker or Mr. Luellen by now.

  9. Rhythm Nation Dance Club Rhythm Nation Dance Club will begin meeting next Tuesday, October 21st . If you are interested please get your application from Mrs. Williams in room 301. Stem Stangs Our next meeting is Friday, October 17, 2:00 – 3:30. Don’t forget your Field Trip Permission Slip!!

  10. BETA Members: General Beta Meeting: Thursday, October 16th @ 6:35 AM in the gym. Don’t forget tot sign in. Induction Rehearsal – Thursday, October 16th @ 2:10 in the cafeteria. This is mandatory for those who are being inducted or those who are speaking. We should be finished before 3 pm.

  11. Haunted Houston! Please help our Fun Zone by donating Little Debbie snacks, Hostess snacks, and Tastykake snacks. It is for the Dessert Walk, so we don’t want just cakes or cookies. We would like the snacks to be individually wrapped. THANK YOU! Volunteers: Please let Mrs. Lieske or Ms. Gillespie know ASAP if you CAN’T work your shift. We have a couple of students who are listed as back ups.

  12. Artfully All Artfully members will meet Tuesday afternoon till 3-returning members and 8th in Ms. Nickell’s room, new 7th and 6th in Mrs. Gabb’s room. We will be finalizing Haunted Houston sign-ups and checking email addresses. Some of the addresses put in are incorrect causing a problem with emailing members. You MUST attend the meeting and be ready to sign up for available shifts. All Core members will meet each afternoon this week, only core, returning members!! We are needing donations of costumes, fabric, make-up and Halloween décor for our booth. Please let your parents know and a complete list will go home with everyone on Tuesday. 

  13. Convention!!! I need an approximate idea of who is wanting to attend the Beta Convention in Nashville in November. I need a number so I can figure up the cost of the trip. Please email Mrs. Lieske ASAP to let her know you are interested in attending. Mrs. Lieske has packets with the different events. There is also a PDF of the events on the BETA webpage. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Lieske. I will be talking with those students who are interested at our general meeting on Thursday, October 16th at 6:35 am.
