  5. Facility Cost • Initial learning curve translates to higher initial costs • According to our limited sample, it appears that personnel trained in January or already using VISION grasped concepts more quickly

  6. Network Time Spent • Facilities require more support time initially • Important to encourage use of CROWN helpdesk *NW 16 spent an additional 39 hours on Communications/Admin Tracking

Weekly Conference Calls • Participants (59 listed on agenda) • Phase 1 Networks • Phase 1 Facilities • CMS ISG, QIG, Project Officers • LDO corporate batch submitters • NWITS/Helpdesk • QIS/Network 7 • CSC • First 30 minutes • Questions from facilities • Questions from LDO batch submitters • Facilities/LDOs drop off call when finished • Remaining Time (30-60 minutes) • Network issues/comments • CMS issues/comments • Support Contractor issues/comments

Aid Provided to Facilities • Walk through filling out QIPS account form correctly • Reconciling data discrepancies • Reminding facilities of deadlines (clinical, time reporting, conference calls) • Working with facilities to report CROWNWeb questions/issues • Examining Audit Update reports to understand changes made by batch download

  9. Helpful Tips • Facility users should have some exposure to the following: • Electronic data entry via • Hands on training • WebEx • VISION ( or similar systems) • PART tool • Great “shortcut” to specific patient information • Some labs have created custom reports that mirror clinical data entry screens • Clinical data entry • Know date limitations • Have dates that will work • Update reports can help spot a System Discharge caused by event coming in via batch
