Sage EvolutionmSCOA • mSCOA is a National Treasury reform • mSCOA stands for “municipal standard chart of accounts” and provides a uniform and standardisedfinancial transaction classification framework. • Essentially this means that mSCOA prescribes the method (the how) and format (the look) that municipalities and their entities should use to record and classify all expenditure (capital and operating), revenue, assets, liabilities, equity, policy outcomes and legislative reporting. • According to the mSCOA regulation (2014), all municipalities must be mSCOA compliant by July 2017. • Sage Evolution and Sage VIP Premier (HR and Payroll) are joint participants in the mSCOA pilot phase. • mSCOA is LAW and is applicable to all municipalities and their entities Sage Business Partner Conference 2016 @SageGroupZA | #SageBPCon
