  3. What’s new in Version 6.81 • Alert Management is now part of the core module offering, which allows you to send and receive notifications via SMS or e-mail based on predefined criteria. This allowing you to keep your employees, customers and suppliers up-to-date with business related information, account balances, inventory status updates etc. • Research shows that 97% of mobile users read and respond to a SMS within an hour of receiving it. For this reason, Alert Management can create efficiency, pro-activeness and enhance communication with your employees, customers and suppliers. • Alert Management allows you to create alert notifications based on user requirements, send group messages to customers and suppliers or create custom alerts specific to your business, all of which can be scheduled at various intervals. What’s new in Version 6.81 • Municipal Billing • The band breakdown calculation for sanitation has been added to customer statements • New fields were added to the posting tables to print PropertyID, PortionIDand ServiceID’son customer statements which links in to ageing per service • You are now able to view meter readings as well as an ERF number lookup that has been added to Accounts Receivable • An age analysis per service has been made available • Property Valuation Rolls have been added to accurately calculate a property value, and keep history of valuations • You are now able to set a payment priority by Service Type at Receipting level • We added General ledger consolidations of billing transactions • You are now able to set Accounts Receivable transaction codes for direct deposits • We added a process to issue clearance certificates Speed Cost Growth Skill

What is SCOA? • Standard Chart of Accounts for Local Government • SCOA is a standard classification system that will be used across all municipalities (general ledger account structure) • Aligned to high-level ERF (Economic Reporting Framework) principles applied to national and provincial departments (NB: cash versus accrual based accounting) to enhance “whole of government” reporting • Provides for the peculiarities and accounting principles unique to local government • Multi segmental chart implying populating fields within a database with specific information to be classified according to Item, Function, Fund, Regional Indicator and Project • Facilitate comparable budget reporting returns, annual financial statements and specific interest reporting, eg. DWA, NERSA, STATSSA, etc. • Future upgrade of LG database to provide for more detailed monthly returns and functionalities for optimal utilisation of information Speed Cost Growth Skill

The facts about SCOA readiness • MFMA Circular 66, 2012 – Implementation for the SCOA is envisaged for 1 July 2016 • Due to the fact that SCOA has not yet been finalised, so-called “SCOA Compliance” is impossible for now • The following design elements of SCOA are already part of our Sage Evolution Premium product offering: Speed Cost Growth Skill
