  2. Real-time strategy • a type of computer game in which all players move at once

  3. First-person shooter • a type of computer game in which the player pretends to shoot a gun and sees everything as it would appear to the person doing the shooting

  4. Massively Multi-player Online (MMO) • a network required environment with interactions where other players is key

  5. Clipping • in digital audio, chopping off the tops and bottoms of the sound waves, resulting in distorted sound

  6. Collision detection • the process or algorithm used to determine if 2 or more 3D models are touching or overlapping

  7. Vector maps • the creation of digital images through a sequence of commands or mathematical statements that place lines and shapes in a given two-dimensional or three-dimensional space

  8. Graphics • a pictorial image displayed on a computer screen

  9. OpenGL • the computer industry's standard application program interface ( API ) for defining 2-D and 3-D graphic images

  10. Direct X • a set of standard commands and functions that software developers can use when creating their programs

  11. Skins • a graphic or audio file used to change the appearance of a program or a game character

  12. Models • a particular type or version of a product

  13. Death-march • a common term for the weeks - months in really bad cases - before a critical deadline when developers are often working 60-100 hour weeks trying to finish coding and debugging all the features promised by management in the product
