Over 800 years of history • 1501 – the earliest written source places the ownership of Vihula (Vyoll) in the hands of theDanish baron Hans von Lode, descendant of the oldest noble family in Estonia • 1810 – three centuries and a number of events later, the von Schubert family becomesthe owner of Vihula Manor up to the Soviet occupation.
