Kit list – reminder Your child must be able to carry their own bag! • Plenty of socks • Plenty of underwear • Trainers (2 pairs at least) • Trousers x 3 (NOT just jeans) • Waterproof jacket (& trousers if possible) • Long sleeved tops • Bin liner for dirty washing • Anorak / fleece • Old clothes • Sunhat and cream / hat and gloves / lip salve • Camera – named • Cuddly toy (small) • Reading book / travel game • Small rucksack • Packed lunch for 1st day • Travel sweets – mints, not gum or chocolate • Water bottle • Tissues • Pyjamas / nightdress • Two towels (activity & shower) • Wash bag, flannel, soap, toothbrush, etc. • Hairbrush / comb and ties • No spray deodorant • Watch / travel clock • Bedding (sleeping bag / duvet)

  4. Kit List • Please send old clothes rather than new ones. They will get dirty! • Be prepared for all weathers – Sun cream, hat, gloves, scarf etc. • Lip salve – children are outdoors for the majority of the day and can be prone to dry lips. • Children must not bring electronic games, iPods, mobile phones or any valuables

  5. Communication • Staff are in contact with the school every day • In case of an emergency please ring the school office: 01727 855134 School Hours 07752 005373 Out of office hours Mrs Heaton will then contact Manor Adventure

  6. Letters • Letter from home - please write your child a letter and discreetly give it to Laura Heaton on the morning of departure. • Address for further letter: Manor Adventure The Manor Craven Arms Shropshire SY7 9BY

  7. Meals • Three cooked meals a day • Always a choice • Salad / fruit provided every day • Vegetarians and special diets catered for • Drinks (juice / water) always available

  8. Accommodation • The Woodland Village • The Lodge • All rooms are ensuite • Teachers’ rooms located adjacent to children’s rooms.

Medication Arrangements • Only medication prescribed by a doctor can be taken to Manor Adventure. • All medication to be handed in to Mrs Franklin in the purple room on the morning of departure. • All medication must be clearly labelled. • Inhalers – children need two blue inhalers. • Any brown inhalers and spare inhalers must be kept by Mrs Franklin. • Travel sickness – return tablet in envelope and given to Mrs Franklin. Do NOT pack in child’s case! • Medication includes all creams and ointments.

  12. Monday 9th September • 9.30 children arrive at Fleetville through the Year 3 doors. • Luggage – 6H: classroom, 6C: back of hall. • (6A split – children will need to find their name on a list to know where to leave their case). • ALL medication given directly to Mrs Franklin in the purple room. • Letters from home to be handed to Laura Heaton. • Parents must say goodbye and leave their children in the hall but can wait by the coaches (in Morrisons’ car park). • Children are registered and meet their group leaders in the hall for a briefing. • 10.00 ish - Load coaches and depart as soon as practically possible.

  13. Coming Home! Friday 13th September • 13:30 Depart from Manor Adventure • Estimated arrival at Fleetville is between 17:15 and 17:45 • Parent Mail system will be in operation should there be any changes to our arrival details. • Updates will be posted on the website / blog
