WRITSS related resolution 1 • Resolution 585 • ISO TC204 resolves to instruct Convenors and Editors that • all future TC204 Standards (but not other deliverables) shall include the Framework Element "Conformance" and; • the issue of conformance shall be addressed, although how this is addressed is at the discretion of the WG.

WRITSS related resolution 2 • Resolution 592 • TC204 resolves that the Chair and secretariat will monitor progress of implementation of the WRITSS report recommendations and; • support the initiatives for the ubiquitous City effort in Korea and create an ad-hoc task force to engage liaison activities with other TC's and interested parties. • TC204 gratefully accepts and acknowledges Korea's offer to lead this task force.

  17. III. Recommendations for IEG Discussion- from WRITSS recommendations

It is recommended that: • APEC Members be encouraged to more actively participate in ISO TC204 and related standardization activities: • O Member  P member • Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Chile, New Zealand • Non Member  O member • Mexico, Vietnam, Brunei, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Peru

  19. It is recommended that: • APEC TPT Members be encouraged to take actions • To provide implementation guideline or relevant practices to potential users of standards • To improve accessibility to information on Intermodal/ITS related standards • To promote outreach activities of Intermodal/ITS standards

  20. It is recommended that: • APEC TPT Members strengthen the collaborative works with ISO/TC204 and identify future work items: • APEC TPT Members share information and experiences on ubiquity oriented technologies for transportation sector • APEC TPT Members identify priority areas to cooperate to enhance regional harmonization • e.g: Public Transit, Electronic Payment, Emergency Management
