  1. Kambot Set-up

  2. Phase 1 • There are 2 significant planned events for Phase 1. • 1. Testing the market / Gaining experience • This is where we import a small volume of product into australia as a test run, and store the stock at Jo’s House • Timing for this event: Product on the water by August. • 2. Launch Phase 1 products to majors • We need to allow three months selling time of event 1 before we go to the major retailers with our phase 1 products. • Timing for this event: Product on the water by end of 2011. • This will be the most difficult time during the commencement of the business. It will require strategic thought regarding the manner in which we approach the retailers such that we can protect our current day jobs.

  3. Phase 1 • Dried Fruit Snacks • Flavours: Mangosteen, Pineapple, Lychee, Mango • Target: adult • Format: Resealable Medium size pouch and or smaller lunchbox size snacks eg Sunbeam sultanas • Other Comments: • There are other flavours, but the ones mentioned above are the most mainstream • Plan: • Get small quantity into australia ASAP, and search out short term distribution opportunities to test market and allow a foray into importing as a test. • Major P/L launch Late 2011

  4. Phase 1 • Kampot Pepper • Flavours: Plain? Does this come in flavour infused variants? • Target: adult, asian demographic, with potential to expand market in line with ‘cook at home’ trend. • Format: Grinder & refill bag • Plan: • Source manufacturer who can package as required • Bring in small volume Around September to test market

  5. Phase 1 • The ‘Happy Cake’ • Product Info: • A Cake for one – very simply add one egg, mix and microwave for one minute. • Also comes with icing chocolate. • Gluten Free • Target Demographic: Loners who celebrate their birthday on their own. • Other Comments: • Packaging works well, but would need artwork refresh and re-branding • Don’t like the name and not sure it would it would suit the market here. • Plan • Into bakery section under P/L Late 2011/Early2012

  6. Phase 1 • Sushi Making Kit • Product Info: • Contains Rice, bamboo roller, wasabit, seaweed, vinegar • All that is required is the fresh fish/meat and vegie’s • Target Demographic: People who cook at home who want to try something new • Other Comments: • Packaging works well, but would need artwork refresh and re-branding • Plan • Private label launch Late 2011/Early 2012

  7. Phase 2 • Once we have 1 listing in the majors and have tested the market / gotten some importing experience, we commence phase 2. This phase would require at least Jo or Christian to be working full time on the business – potentially both. • Timings for Phase 2:Mid 2012.

  8. Phase 2 • Sushi Making Kit • Product Info: • Wasabi-o branded • Dipping sauce • Strong flavoured • Similar product to Tabasco Sauch • Target Demographic: Cooks • Other Comments: • Manufacturer not interested in P/L, would be branded launch only • Plan • If a buyer believed this product would work it would be easy and low risk for him to put into the layout because it takes up very little space • Branded Launch Late 2011/Early 2012

  9. Phase 2 • Premium quality asian food pastes • Flavours: Green Curry, Tom Yum, Massaman Curry plus about 6 more. • Target Demo: At home cooks • Other Comments: • Very premium packagin • Comes in an inner which contains 12 sachets • Plan: • P/L Launch Early 2012

Lets chat late in the week to discuss how this message is best communicated to ensure future proofing. • Investigate costings & case pack size – CZ/AS • Lets start with the samples – that way the factory will understand our intent and take us more seriously. • Investigate local makets and stall cost to gauge consumer reaction/feedback – JS/CZ • Jo – Store visits this week – lets have coffee tomorrow to discuss further. • Timeline – CZ • Will have done by end of week. • Overview / Summary of Thaifex product possibilities - CZ • Will have done by end of week.

  13. To Discuss/Investigate • Branded or Private Label? • WW well advanced in sourcing PL through HK buying office • Opportunities exist for PL products under 1 container into each DC/state only • Perhaps Branded for WW and PL for Coles • Australian Food & Labelling regulations • MQN certificate factory site visits • Local contacts for quality questions
