Exploration and Discovery: Understanding James 1:17 in the Context of American History

This activity involves reading James 1:17 to reflect on the nature of discovery and blessings. Students will connect this scripture to our unit of study by exploring the question of who truly discovered America. After reading the passage, students will log into thebigL.org to access the "Who Discovered America" blog and select two video clips to analyze various perspectives on this topic. Additionally, students will utilize maps on pages 64, 66, and 77 to trace the routes of significant explorers, illustrating their voyages with color-coded details, key dates, and major events.
