The city relies on neighbors helping each other • Create a support network • Keep a list of neighbors, their relatives and contact information • Know who may need extra assistance, especially those w/ disabilities & elderly • List equipment: Wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, etc. • Team up and be accountable to each other

  11. How to be Educated • American Red Cross • Learn how to shutoff your utilities • Volunteer with the city of Longmont • Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) • Citizens Volunteer Patrol (CVP) • Victim Advocates

Action Plan • Water- At least a 3 day supply • Food- At least a 3 day supply • Have a first aid kit and be trained in first aid • Create an emergency kit for home and car • Develop a family communication and meet-up plan • Buy a Weather Radio • Keep at least ½ tank of gas at all times • Have a photo ID and extra cash • Sign-up for Emergency Notification Alerts • Be Alert!
