Join us for a night of learning and discussion on the theme of caring for others, inspired by the Good Shepherd. We will have activities, presentations, and a scavenger hunt party. All are welcome!

  8. A Caring Person • Think of someone you would describe as acaringperson. • In what ways does this person show care for others?

  9. Sacrifice • One way that people show care is by making sacrificesfor others, giving up something important or putting the good of another person before their own. • What are some examples of ways that people show care for others by making a sacrifice?

  10. Contrasts • In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus contraststhe ways in which a shepherd and a hired man act when the sheep in their care are in danger.  • See John 10:11-18.

  11. Hired Man vs. Shepherd • How does the hired man act when the sheep are in danger? • What does Jesus say that the good shepherd will do for his sheep? • Why does the good shepherd act differentlythan the hired man?

  12. The Good Shepherd Jesus says that he is the Good Shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep.  Jesus gives us an example of how we are to carefor others. Whenever we care for others in ways that puts their needs before our own, we are following the example of Jesus.

  19. Loving Lord, • You sent Jesus to give us real life, your life. Because we belong to you, help us live as your children and follow Jesus by loving others and caring for those who need help. As his sisters and brothers, may we always recognize his voice when he calls us and leads us to you.
