  3. VIP Status • Very Important Performers! • How would you get the job done without them? • Volunteers are the backbone of chapter success • No paycheck • Lots of work • Compromise on personal priorities • Keep ‘em coming back!

  4. Our Future NCMA Leaders • Every NCMA National Leader started with a chapter-level volunteer position • Program Speaker patrol • NES Chair • Workshop coordinator • Photographer • Why did they come back for more? • Someone said “Thanks for helping me. You did a good job.”

  9. Award Categories • Arthur B Muller Volunteer Award • Recognizes exceptional volunteer contributions to all levels of NCMA • Restriction--Can’t be a chapter officer • Albert Berger Outstanding Chapter Leadership Award • Recognizes superior chapter leaders

Delaney Memorial Award • Best article in Contract Management magazine • Education Award • Exemplary contributions to the contract management profession through education • NCMA AFIT Thesis Award • Outstanding research paper at the Air Force Institute of Technology on contracting or acquisition

  11. Fellow • Fellow • NCMAs third highest honor. • Based on points earned for various contributions to the profession and to NCMA • Outstanding Fellow • Honors Fellows who continue to make a difference in service to the profession and to NCMA after achieving Fellow status

Special Honors • National Achievement Award • Recognition to NCMA volunteers for special achievement • Must be nominated by a National Officer • Selection made by National President • NCMA Staff Achievement Award • Honors National Office staff member for excellent performance and attitude • Selection made by Executive Director

Special Honors • Herbert Roback Memorial Award • Significant contribution to public contract management through lifelong achievement in the public and / or private sector • Winners include Past Presidents, Members of Congress, CEOs, Cabinet Members, Government Agency Heads • Blanche Witte Memorial Foundation Award • Unique performance of exemplary achievement in procurement • Member OR Non-member of NCMA • Grade level restrictions (dept manager, O-4 /GS-13)
