  1. Questions About Salvation • Are You Saved? • Do You Question Your Salvation? • Do You Think That God Cannot OR • That He Will Not Save Someone Like You? • Do You Feel Lost?

  2. Sin Separates Us From God Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. (Isa. 59:1-2) What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. (Romans 3:9) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Rom. 3:23)

  3. God Wants To Save Us This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Tim. 2:3-4) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it! (Luke 13:34) The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

  4. Christ Died To Take Away Our Sin The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matt. 26:28) My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (1 John 2:1-2) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. (Eph. 2:8)

  5. Jesus Gave Us His Plan For Saving Us Believe the Testimony Given about Him – Mk. 16:15-16 Repent of Our Sins – Lk. 13:3 Confess Faith in Him Before Men – Mt. 10:32 Be Baptized for Forgiveness of Sins – Mk. 16:16 Have You Obeyed These Conditions Given By Christ? NO! Then, You’re Lost!

  6. YES! But, I’ve Sinned Since Being Forgiven!

  7. Jesus’ Plan For Saving Christians Who Sin “You have no part or portion in this matter, for your heart is not right before God. Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity.” But Simon answered and said, “Pray to the Lord for me yourselves, so that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.” (Acts 8:21-24) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

  8. I Can KNOW That I Am Saved! These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13) We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him. (1 John 3:16-19)

  9. But I’ve Been So Wicked Some Wicked People God Saved Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

  10. Adultery – Lies – Murder So David sent and inquired about the woman. And one said, “Is this not Bathsheba…the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” David sent messengers and took her, and when she came to him, he lay with her… (2 Sam. 11:2-4) Why have you despised the word of the LORD by doing evil in His sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon. (2 Sam. 12:9) Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” And Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has taken away your sin; you shall not die.” (2 Sam. 12:13)

  11. Persecution – Murder of Innocent – Violent When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. (Acts 7:58) But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison…Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest. (Acts 8:3; 9:1) Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-- of whom I am the worst. (1 Tim. 1:13-15)

  12. I’ve Been So Wicked Some Wicked People God Saved Rahab – Prostitute (Josh. 6-7) David – Adulterer, Murderer Woman at the Well – Adultery (Jn. 4) Woman Caught in Adultery (Jn. 8) Peter – Lied, Cursed, Denied Christ Those Who Crucified the Lord Saul – Murderer, Persecutor Idolaters (1 Thess. 1:9)

  13. My Sins Aren’t Special Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:15-17) Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. (1 Pet. 5:8-9) No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. (1 Cor. 10:13)

  14. God’s Word Can Protect Me Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You. (Psalms 119:11) As also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ… (2 Peter 3:16-18)

  15. Make Your Calling and Election Sure Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble… (2 Peter 1:10) Possible To Lose Salvation Preceding Verses Tell Me How To Secure My Salvation

  16. I CAN KNOW For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Love Brotherly Kindness Godliness Perseverance Self-Control Knowledge Virtue, Moral Courage Faith

  17. I CAN KNOW For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you. (2 Pet. 1:9-12)
