  2. Education has to change. Over the last century the world has become unrecognizable to the one that existed yet our educational system and way of learning has primarily stayed the same. What should we do? It is clear that the world is more dynamic, more global and continually changing, and we are not yet sure where it will go. Our educational systems have to reflect this, they have to adapt and change, drawing on the innovations that have made other areas of the economy so adaptive.

Based on the trends in education at present and the innovations that have been seen in other sectors the Perfect Education can be broken down into three main tenets: • Society and community learning through peer-to-peer networks; • Increased flexibility and access to online courses and materials; and • Enhanced utilisation of the case study method and use of field trips. These slight evolutions and additions to the education system will enable the sector to adapt and meet the needs of industry and society. Peer-to-peer teaching will enhance the current process and those institutions that facilitate this phenomenon will thrive through having students engaged at higher levels and being able to understand topics through cooperative understanding and learning.

  4. Dynamism. The ability to embrace chaos. Bravery in the face of adversity. Courage of convictions. Educational institutions must shift from creating workers, to creating conceptual thinkers. Whilst it is clear that specialization create productivity, there also needs to be a class to conceptualize. Specialists will have to be both the engineer and the philosopher.

  5. Education is no longer static; it no longer has a definitive end. The process has changed. The classrooms are still there, but aren’t necessary. This needs to be realized, by blending the digital, the tangible, the practical and the social we can create a system that caters for all and enables all to develop. A student will no longer stay static in their class. A seminar will be held, which will be followed by discussion between the students; they will need to present there reports on the subject on the morrow. In the meantime, they are bussed out to a local community organization to read to underprivileged kids, enabling them to grow, and the community with them.
