  4. It’s also known as the ‘Beatitude’ or ‘the sermon on the mount” It’s a long discourse of Jesus’ teaching. • It took place on the North West of the Sea of Galilee. Jesus did a lot of ministry in the area. • 这经文叫‘天国八福’，也叫‘登山宝训’。是一连串个很长的教导。 地点是在加利利海西北部的海边山。 耶稣在那里行了许多事工和行了好多神迹奇事。

  8. There are eight different qualities of a Christian. A Christian is called to be meek & merciful, aware of his spiritual poverty & pure in heart, mourning for his sins & hungry for righteousness, a peacemaker & willing to be persecuted for righteousness sake. 基督徒八个不同的品格 • 灵里贫乏,悲伤的人,谦和的人,饥渴慕义, • 怜悯人,心里洁净,使人和睦,为义受逼迫

  9. First we have to understand the word blessing ‘makarios’！ • 希腊文圣经里的“马开里噢斯”有何意！

  10. The Greek word “makarios” which has been translated as blessed can also be translated as “happy” (JBP translation) • The Lord pronounced Christians who exhibit such qualities are blessed people and also happy people. • 希腊文圣经里的“马开里噢斯”翻译成福气也可以翻译成快乐. • 耶稣认为有这品格的基督徒是有福气也快乐的人.

  11. What is this blessing?The second half of each beatitude clearly states it. • They possess the Kingdom of heaven & they inherit the earth. • 是何等的福气？ • 他们将拥有天国的福气，现今拥有这个世界。

  12. The poor in spiritis the opposite of arrogant spirit. • It is acknowledging our spiritual poverty before God. We are miserable sinners. We look to God for mercy n forgiveness. To such, the kingdom of God is given. 灵里贫乏,骄傲的反面 • 我们承认自己灵里贫乏。是可怜的罪人，需要上帝的慈悲和赦免。天国是他们的。

  13. Those who mourn shall be comforted It is one thing to be spiritually poor n acknowledge it; it’s another to grieve n mourn over it. Mourning is a sign of repentance. 悲伤的人将得到安慰 我们不但需要灵里贫乏，也要为自己的罪悲伤懊悔。将得到安慰

  14. The meek shall inherit the earth • The Greek adjective praus means ‘gentle’ ‘humble’, ‘considerate’, ‘courteous’, and exercising the self-control without which these qualities would be impossible. • This meekness denotes a humble n gentle attitude to others. 谦和的人将继承那地 • 原文希腊文的意思是指待人温和，谦虚，考虑他们的需要，有礼貌，

  15. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be satisfied. • God will fill the hungry with good things and the rich he has sent empty away.(Luke 1:53) • We are to seek first the Kingdom of God & his righteousness.(Matthew6:33) 饥渴慕义的人有福了 叫 饥 饿 的 得 饱 美 食 ,叫 富 足 的 空 手 回 去. （路加福音1:53） • 你 们 要 先 求 他 的 国 和 他 的 义,这 些 东 西 都 要 加 给 你 们 了 。 (太6:33)

  16. The mercifulshall obtain mercy Mercy is compassion for people in need. • Our God is a merciful God. We are to be merciful to others like God. 怜悯人的人是蒙福的，因为他们将蒙怜悯 • 怜悯是对需要的人满有同情心 • 我们的神是满有慈悲的神，身为基督徒我们也要满有慈悲心。

  17. The pure in heart will see God. God is looking for those who are clean inwardly& morally. Jesus rebuked the religious leaders about their obsession with external & ceremony purity while inwardly they were full of wickedness.(Luke 11:39) 心里洁净的人将看见神。主看一个人的内在圣洁过于外在的干净。耶稣评判‘法 利 赛 人 洗 净 杯 盘 的 外 面 ， 你 们 里 面 却 满 了 勒 索 和 邪 恶.’ （路11:39）

  18. Blessed are the peacemakers    for they will be called children of God. Peacemaking is God’s work. Jesus came to reconcile men to God. Any one who seek to reconcile man to God is doing God’s work. Hence he is a child of God. 使人和睦的人是蒙福的，因为他们将被称为‘神的儿女’ 主耶稣来世的目的就是要人和神得于和解。 我们要是帮忙人与神和解（接受上帝和解的方法），我们当然是神的儿女。

  19. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Those who are prepared to suffer for Christ’ sake, they are the true disciples of the Lord. They will be rewarded with eternal life. If we deny Him before men, He will deny us before the Father in heaven. 为义受逼迫的人是蒙福的，因为天国是他们的 那些愿意为主受苦的必定会有赏，凡在人面前否认耶稣的，他也会在天父前否认他们。
