Language Arts Curriculum Literature Program Houghton-Mifflin Theme- Based Guided Reading and Writing program with anthology selections, leveled readers, practice skill books, novels and teacher “read-alouds”. Core Novels and Anthology selections  reflect the Themes of Courage, Growing Up and Doers and Dreamers. Independent Reading

Special Education The special education program at Haverford Middle School includes a variety of programs and services to meet the varied needs of students who have been identified as exceptional. The goal is to educate students in the least restrictive environment. The curriculum is the same as the general education curriculum. The materials used are supplemented in order to work more intensely on specific skills.

  16. Special Education Math Smaller groupings allow for slower paced instruction, additional practice, and individualized attention. Curricular materials are adapted to meet students’ unique needs.
