Six Functions Of An Effective K-8 Program • Integration of learning in ways that they will become coordinated into effective and wholesome behavior. • Discovery and exploration opportunities for all pupils that are based of their specialized interest, aptitudes, and abilities. • Guidance to assist pupils in making wise choices educational, vocational, personally, and socially. • Differentiation of educational facilities and opportunities that accommodate the varied backgrounds of the needs of pupils. • Socialization experiences that prepare pupils to participates in the present social order and contribute to future change. • Articulation through provision for a gradual transition from preadolescent education to educational programs suited to the needs and interests of adolescent youth.
