  2. Definition • Concentrated solar power is a source of energy. It gives households hot water. • Solar panels are systems that use lenses or mirrors to attract sunlight

  3. Photovoltaic is different to concentrated solar power. It is another method of generating electrical power by changing solar radiation.

  4. History • Focused sunlight has been used to help with useful tasks from the time of ancient china. • In1866, Anguste Mouchout used a type of solar thermal energy collection called parabolic trough to produce steam for the first solar steam engine

  5. Concentrated solar power is a cheap way of using a supply of electricity. • The sun has produced energy for many of years.  Solar energy is the sun’s rays that reach the Earth. This energy can be converted into other forms of energy, such as heat and electricity. • In the 1830s, the British astronomer John Herschel used a solar thermal collector box also know as a device that can absorb sunlight to collect heat.
