  1. Daily PlanAugust 30, 2010 • UEQ: What is Automation and Robotics and how is it used in our everyday lives? • LEQ: 1. What limitations do you think should be placed on the use of robots 2. What type of robot do you think makes the most significant contribution to our lives today and why? • Task: Login to your computer. Your username is your student # and the password will be 123456. In the meantime, write down or type on a Word document the Unit Essential Question as well as both Lesson Essential Questions and be thinking about possible answers. These should go in your Notes tab in your Engineering Notebook. If you don’t know what that is, then I will let you know real soon.

Turn in any paperwork that is due by Friday. Be ready to take notes.

What is the difference between a reciprocating and a linear output? • Task: Turn in any paperwork that is due by Friday. Login and continue your “Observing Mechanisms” activity. When given the okay, you will work on when finished with the “Observing Mechanisms.

  4. Daily PlanSeptember 7, 2010 • LEQ: 1.      How do you build mechanical gear assemblies using Fischertechnik parts? • Task: Continue building your mechanical gear assemblies. Remember to answer all the questions about the assembly BEFORE you take the gears apart. • ***Journal Entries are required once a week. Write a statement about what you learned, what you worked on, your thoughts about anything related to engineering. These are usually at least two sentences and put in your Journal Tab in your notebook.
