  1. Backpack ChallengeDa Bomb Tya Hyde

  2. You was suppose to learn….. • How to make a backpack correctly. • Imagine yourself being a backpack designer company. • How to find all the dimensions and measurements of everything you need to make the backpack. • How to make a feasible backpack. • How to make a 3D model .

  3. Concepts I learned was how to…. • Convert inches into square inches (Multiply a inch by a inch to get square inches). • Find the perimeter (Adding together all the lengths of the shape). • Find the area (Length multiply by width). • Find the surface area(Lateral area plus the area of two ends). H L B Lateral area = perimeter of shape b * L Surface Area = perimeter of shape b* L+ 2* area of shape b

  4. Concepts I learned was how to continuation…. • Write a proposal (Its like writing a letter, but you have to state the purpose, problem, solution, costs, and conclusion in bold. Then explain each in regular print. The font should be in 12pt and in black ink and you should use Arial or Times New roman). • Sew ( You take a needle and some thread and put the thread through the needle. Then 2 the end of how ever much thread you using you knot it at the end. Then you stick the needle through the fabric and pull it through then repeat into your done). • To be precise ( To say exactly what you mean).

  5. Real Life Examples • Sewing- The reason why I said sewing was apart of real life was because of clothing. In order to have clothes they have to be stitched together some type of way. Other examples would be pillows, quilts, stuffed animals, chair/couch coveringsect. • Area- The reason why I said area was apart of real life was because if your trying to figure out how much carpet or wood you need for the floor of a room you would have to use length times width. • Perimeter- The reason why I said perimeter was apart of real life was because if your trying to build a fence you need to know the distance around the item or thing your building around. • To be precise- The reason why I said to be precise is because during this project being precise was very important and it made a big difference in the grade the teacher gave me. A real life example of precise is used everyday we you at a restaurant you have to specific as in what you want, if you don’t your going to get something you don’t want. Other examples of where you should be precise is at work , the store, giving directions, at the doctor/ dentist, school, and ect.

  6. Still have difficulty understanding • How to find the sewn inch • Things that I could have done differently to better understand how to find the sewn inch was to….. • Ask the teacher • Research it more • Ask multiple people that might know • Go to a tailor shop

  7. Next project goal for my grade • For my next project I plan to get a A. • I plan to achieve my A by…. • Working harder • Using my time better • Taking more/ better notes • Paying more attention • Researching better • Researching deeper into the topic
