  2. Facts 1n 3000 B.C., the original style of art in ancient Egypt was used. A lot of art in ancient Egypt is about their religion. Egyptians used blue, black, red, green, and gold in their paintings. Ancient Egyptians are famous for giant sculptures. Large statues of their gods were held in temples.   3. 6 . Pharaohs are really the only people who formerly wore cartouches. 7 . They used light colors for women in painting and dark colors for men. 8 . Ancient Egyptians made small pieces of vases, amulets, and images of deities with steatite. Steatite is soapstone.

  4. 9 . To help Pharaohs in the afterlife, a lot of the ancient Egyptian artwork was entombed with them. 10 . The extremely dry climate of the area is why many ancient Egyptian paintings survived thousands of years.
