Characters • Kate: The oldest of the three who promised to always watch out for her brother and sister. • Michael: The smartest of them all who is always getting bullied at every orphanage. • Emma: The youngest of them all who isn’t afraid of anything but loves her brother and sister deeply. • Abraham: The one who came to pick them up to go to there new orphanage.

Characterscontinued…. • The Countess: The evil witch who captures children and owns the Screechers. • Gabriel: The huge man who saved them from the wolves and brought them to safety. • Dr. Pym: The magical wizard who owns the orphanage they are at right now. • Griddley Cavendish: The disgusting secretary of the Countess. • Robbie McLaur: The lead dwarf that captured Kate and Michael.

  4. Characters continued…. • Ms. Crumley: The mean owner of the orphanage they were currently at. • Miss. Sallow: The housekeeper of the orphanage they are out right now who calls them kings and queens. • Granny Peet: The medicine woman of Gabriel’s Village. • Stephen McClattery: The leader of the captured kids.

Summary • Three children named Kate, Michael, and Emma have been going from orphanage to orphanage trying to find the perfect home until they go to Cambridge Falls where they find the emerald atlas, go back in time, meet the evil countess, run away from wolves and more. Read the book to see what happens.
