  4. HUMAN & PHYSICAL FEATURES Nigeria doesn’t have the best numbers for human & physical features. Nigeria’s population is 141,356,000 people. But, the US has a population of 299,846,000. Also, Nigeria’s birth rate is 109.5! However, the US’s infant mortality is 6.3. Nigeria’s total area is 356,669. Which is pretty small compared to the US’s 3,794,083 sq miles.In conclusion, Nigeria and the US’s human and physical features are very different.

  5. Flag FLAG OF NIGERIA The Nigerian flag has a lot of symbols, history, and facts behind it. First of all, the green stripes represent Nigeria’s agriculture industry and its lush vegetation. The white stripes represent the desire for peace and unity within the country. Next, the Nigerian flag was adopted on October 1, 1990. Also, it was designed by Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi. Some interesting flag facts is...when the flag is flying, nothing should be above it. The last fact is that whether it is old or worn out, it should never be displayed. In conclusion, there is some very cool and unique things about it.

  6. GOVERNMENT • Nigeria’s Independence day is October 1, 1960 • Its suffrage is 18 years of age • National symbol = eagle • Nigeria’s capital is Abuja • Constitution - latest adopted May 15 1999

  7. RELIGION In Nigeria, there are 2 main religions, Islam and Christianity. 50% of Nigeria is filled with muslims. 40% of Nigeria is filled with Christians. There are 1.3 billion adherents worldwide. There are 2 billion Christian adherents worldwide. Also, both Islam and Christianity believe in only ONE God (monotheistic). The last thing is, muslims use the Qur’an for their Holy Book, Christians use the Bible. Therefore, Nigeria is very unique and different with their religions.

  9. Animals, Plants,& Natural Resources There is a lot of very interesting animals in Nigeria. For example, the Fox’s Shaggy Rat. Its natural habitat is the moist savanna. However, it is threatened by habitat loss. Another animal in Nigeria is the Savanna swamp shrew. It is a species of mammals in the Soricidae family. Lastly, the Gotel Mountains soft-furred mouse. Its natural habitat is the moist montane forests. In conclusion, Nigeria has a lot of unique and interesting animals.
