  5. Lake Ridge Yearbook Among the Stars The Yearbook Committee needs your pictures! If you have pictures from field trips, class parties, Fall Festival, sports events, etc., please email them to lrs.yb2013@gmail.com. The school year is off to a great start, and we want to capture your students' memories in the Yearbook! The deadline for early order pricing has passed, but you may still place an order for $35 for a standard cover or $40 for a personalized cover Yearbook. You may download an order form from the school website.

  6. THANK YOU! Do to parent’s generous donations, PTA was able to assist the Johnson City Schools Homeless Program by providing 6 boxes of food and a multitude of new socks and underwear to families in need.

  7. DECEMBER BENCHMARKS Monday, December 16TH – Reading/ Language Arts Tuesday, December 17th - Math Please make sure your child is prepared, has a good nights sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.

  8. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO SUPPORT OUR SCHOOL’S FUND RAISERS? Lake Ridge is not a Title I school, and therefore is not eligible for some Federal funds that other schools in our area receive. PTA fundraisers help finance school projects and materials that we would not otherwise have. Every dollar received is a gift from friends and family of Lake Ridge, and is used to benefit our school. Thank you for your support!

  9. There are still Angels waiting to be adopted on the tree in the lobby. Please return all purchases by December 18th. Thank you for helping students in need. If you have any questions, please contact the school Guidance Counselor, Stephanie Gibson.

  10. Johnson City Power Board’s “Imagination Power” calendar art contest winners drew artwork to show ways to save power, as well as power alternatives to decrease overall usage. These students won 25 custom edition KitBook textbooks, which are an interactive tool designed to teach fourth- and fifth-graders about electrical circuits for Lake Ridge! WAY TO GO STUDENTS!!!

  11. Thank you to the families who donated items to our SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE in November! These were distributed to teachers who requested them for their classes. We will be publishing an updated list each month of supply needs for Lake Ridge classrooms. Please keep this in mind when you are at the store, and pick up an extra supply or two when you have an opportunity. A collection box will be located in the school lobby. Thanks! Teachers were also given new pencil sharpeners, and a Back-to-School supply bag which included: disinfectant wipes, tissue, hand sanitizer, and a ream of copy paper.
