What is ‘Spring Day for Europe’? • An annual citizen-driven initiative aimed to encourage young people to debate, reflect, learn and make their voices heard on European issues. • 5th edition: 26 March - 30 June 2007 • 2007: 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome: - tagline:“Schools celebrating Europe” - • A network of people dedicated to the project (European Schoolnet team, national liaisons and pedagogical advisors etc.) • A website in 23 languages with information, activities, competitions, news, resources etc.

National Liaisons • A network of representatives from national education ministries and agencies supporting Spring Day for Europe has been appointed. • They representnational authorities, legitimise the initiative at national level and help mobilise schools through official support and access to regional education authorities.  

  13. Teacher advisory group - A core group of pedagogical advisors from all around Europe have been selected. - They help European Schoolnet with pedagogical content and advice as well as networking with schools at national level.
