Nationalism Impact of World War II • soldiers who served in the war came home and became involved in the nationalist movement Global Setting • Powers that controlled the African colonies were unwilling to fight to hold onto their colonies. • Introduced political reforms that would lead to independence. • After independence of India, African leaders were more eager for their countries to become independent.
