  1. Recap from Last Week • Spiritual Uncircumcision: • Our nature was sin. • We were dead in our sin. • In our original state. • Written code over us. • A ledger of our transgressions existed. • Under obligation of observance.

  2. Recap on from Last Week • Spiritual Circumcision: • Putting off the sinful nature. • Forgiven of our sins. • Alive in Christ. • Buried and raised anew. • The written code is cancelled. • Our ledger of transgressions were nailed to the cross. • Under freedom to worship Christ!

  3. Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Colossians 2:16-17

  4. Jesus and Passover • Read John 6:1-4 • What is significant about this narrative as it relates to the observance of Jewish festivals?

  5. Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. Colossians 2:20-22

  6. Subjective Laws? Laws tend to be pretty black and white. You’re either breaking them or you’re not. Is the same true for disobedience in Christianity? What are some circumstances where the threshold for sin varies by individual?

  7. Subjective Laws? • The threshold of sin can vary for a Christian depending on: • Personal convictions and spiritual maturity. • Circumstances and company. • The urging of The Holy Spirit • See Romans 14:13-23, I Corinthians 8:9-13
