  6. So What Happens? • Start on yet another island • Odysseus finally met • He is introduced in a very different way than the reader would expect

  7. So What Happens? • Calypso is told by the Gods she must let Odysseus go – she outfits him with supplies and he leaves • He winds up on the island of Scheriaand is found (and helped) by Nausicaa

  8. So What Happens? • He is invited to Alcinous’ castle – he is the king of Scheria • Alcinous throws a feast in honor of Odysseus where athletic games are held
