  3. Example 1 • Your quiz grades are 85, 89, 96. What is the lowest grade you can get on the last quiz to still get at least a 90 average. • q: Last Quiz How many points do we already have? 85 + 89 + 96 = 270 b) c) There is almost always an OGT question like this!!!!!!! We need at least a 90! (100 would be great!!!)

  4. Better here means…. Cheaper or less than!! Example 2: Real Life!!! You can choose from two cell phone plans Plan 1: $10 for 200 minutes and $0.10 for each addition minute. Plan 2: $30 for unlimited minutes For what number of minutes is plan 1 better than plan 2 • m: Minutes Used (Total) • 10 + 0.10(m-200) < 30 • Now solve! Answer: 400 Minutes. If you use more go for the unlimited!! I get it. We subtracted the 200 because we already paid for those

  6. Example 4 Find the least values of three consecutive even integers so that the sum of the first and third is less than 4 times the second. a) 1st: x 2nd: x + 2 3rd: x + 4 b) x + x + 4 = 4(x+2)
