  2. Introduction The Human Body is a wonderful, complicated machine whose parts all work together to keep the body healthy. You are going to learn how the digestive, muscular, nervous, respiratory, and circulatory systems all work together in your body to give it the fuel and energy you need.

  3. Process • Your group will choose one of the following body systems and research it using the Human Body Websites embedded within this power point. • Complete the four square provided by your teacher as your power point organizer.

  4. The Circulatory System You will follow the path of a blood cell throughout the body, beginning with the heart and finally returning to the heart. List all the places through which the blood travels. Insert a picture of an image from your journey.

  5. The Muscular System You will follow the path of the different kinds of muscles throughout your body. List all the different kinds of muscles and tell why they are important to your body. Insert a picture of an image from your journey.

  6. The Respiratory System You will follow the path of a breath of air from the time it is inhaled until it is exhaled. List all the places through which the air travels. Insert a picture of an image from your journey.

  7. The Nervous System You will follow the path of your brain sending, receiving, and processing messages throughout the nervous system. Include the three parts of the nervous system. Insert a picture of an image from your journey.

Now that you know about these systems you understand how important they are to your survival. You can use this knowledge to make good choices about physical activity, brain response, the food you eat, the air you breathe and the substances that can get into your blood.
