1. Factors Affecting the Choice of Castors Castors are primarily designed according to the purpose it is intended for. For instance, a castor wheel meant for home-use will not fit in with the industrial applications and the same holds true otherwise as well. Although options are in abundance when it comes to choosing a castor, there exists certain factors, which must be considered for making the appropriate choice of a castor wheel, including: Weight of Load It is rather obvious to understand that larger wheels are intended to handle heavier loads, unlike the smaller ones. Although it is true to a considerable extent, it is worth noting that a wide array of compact and small industry-type castors have joined the market segment in the recent past. Such types of castors are intended for heavy-duty applications. As a result, it is important not to overlook a type of castor if it goes down on the parameter of size. A thorough evaluation on the other parameters, such as materials, which go into the construction of these wheels, should be conducted before sizing these castors up. Floor Conditions While castors are meant to roll down the floor, the condition of the floor, as its area of application, should be assessed. For instance, make a choice of castors in Dublin, which are constructed of polyurethane, in case these wheels are intended to be used on a carpeted or tiled floor laid in a room. As far as unmaintained workplaces are concerned, choose heavy-duty castors, which are so large in size that these can roll over cracks and waste build-up. Weather Conditions Weather conditions bear hugely on the efficiency of castors. Excess of heat or cold can set the castors against exposure to moisture, which eventually leads to rusting. As a result, it is imperative to gauge the adaptability of castors to work in different weather conditions and make a choice of castors in Ireland in the light of it. Ease of Rolling Castors are fitted out with machines and furniture for the purpose of mobility. Moreover, In order to seek out the best castors, emphasize on whether it is easy to roll or not, when loaded. Considering the fact that castors are meant to facilitate mobility of equipment, its purpose will be rendered ineffective in case it does not help the cause of mobility. In the end, it is worth concluding that manufacturing of castor wheels are geared towards catering heavy-duty applications make it a point to choose it wisely.
