  4. One of the quickest ways to lose a battle is to focus on the wrong things. Stop focussing on your problems and start paying attention to God.

  8. Circumcision was the mark of the covenant; it signified membership in Israel, just as baptism signifies membership in the Church. It was a divine seal on those whom God had chosen as His people, and it was a human response to the promises of God.

  10. GILGAL Gilgal means “rolling”. The LORD tells Joshua through this process the reproach of Egypt had been rolled away.

  11. They were put in the place where they could trust in nothing but God alone – a hard place, but a good place. When we remember all the things the power of God has done in our lives, we are willing to trust Him with a radical obedience.
