Physical Education 1 Year – 2 semesters Encouraged Freshman Year Curriculum: All components of Physical Fitness (Cardiovascular endurance, muscle endurance, muscle strength, flexibility) Lifetime Activities: Volleyball, Tennis, Soccer, Ultimate Football, Badminton, Basketball, Whiffle ball, and Swimming Needs for Physical Education: Tennis shoes, socks, t-shirt, shorts or sweats, swim suit during swimming unit, towel, and any personal shower supplies. *locks are provided w/ a $5 fee if not returned at the end of semester. Participation in all class activities is required !
Advanced Physical Education • Advanced Physical Education (APC) – participation required ! 1 Semester Class Designed for those looking to excel in sports, athletics, or fitness Extension of athletic programs offered here at Eastern Combination of Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscular Strength, Nutrition, Hydration, and Fitness Concepts, Flexibility, Speed, and Agility Training Focus on Muscular Strength and Conditioning APC equipment needs: tennis shoes, shorts (sweats), t-shirt, and socks. Personal shower items. May include some swimming. *locks will be provided w/ a $5 fee if not returned at the end of the semester

Health Elective:Substance Abuse & Current Health Issues • Substance Abuse – 1 semester • Covers tobacco & alcohol use/abuse & all categories of drug use/abuse • Proper decision making skills • Current Health Issues – 1 semester • Covers a variety of topics including recent fitness/nutritional trends, medical careers, disorders, illness, & cancer. Student lead for topics
