Sunk by a VP2 aircraft’s and depth charges and ramming by Canadian Flower Class Corvette Oakville U-176 Reiner Dierksen, 14 May 1943, 23.21N / 80.18 W, all 56 killed: sunk by Cuban Patrol Boat CS-13 vectored in by US Mariner aircraft protecting convoy U-359 Hienz Förster, 26 July 1943, 18.06N / 75.00 W, all 47 killed: American Mariner aircraft (VP Squadron 32, P-12) U-159 Heinz Beckmann, 28 July, 1943, 15.57N / 68.30 W, all 53 killed: US Mariner Aircraft VP-32/P-1 U-179 Rudolf Friedrich, 15 July 1943, 15.58N / 73.44W, all 47 killed: US Mariner aircraft, P-10, VP-32 U-84 Horst Uphoff, 6 August 1943, 27.55N / 68.30 W, all 46 killed: American Liberator aircraft VB-105/B-4 USN
