  5. As-Is Mail Direction File The Mail Direction File generates drop entry point data that can be used to populate a mailer’s unique supply chain software and create reports. Accessing the Mail Direction File allows the user to link multiple files to create unique reports and perform a more detailed comparison

  6. To-Be Mail Direction Search and Mail Direction File • The Mail Direction Search Report will provide three views • Default and Redirection View • Drop Entry Point View • Label List View • The Mail Direction File v2 introduces a number of new concepts including the concept of “Drop Entry Points” rather than distinguishing between “Default” and “Redirections” • Both of these documents are accessible to users pre- and post-login

  7. To-Be Mail Direction Search Report – Default and Redirection View • The Default and Redirection View of the Mail Direction Search is based off the AS-IS Mail Direction Search • “Default Effective Dates” are introduced which identifies the Effective Start, End and Grace Dates when a Label List (Default Entry Point) change is made • The ZIP Range for a Label Changes (e.g. SCF 010-013 becomes SCF 010-015) or is associated to another facility • The Label Text of a Label Changes (e.g. SCF SPRINGFIELD MA 010 becomes SCF SPRINGFIELD MA 015) • “Redirections By Truck Size” are introduced to distinguish when a redirection is only applicable to trucks above or below a truck length • A new column added to the display results • A new search criteria added to display only truck size redirections

  8. To-Be Mail Direction Search Report – Drop Entry Point View • The Drop Entry Point View of the Mail Direction Search is based off “Drop Entry Points” rather than the concept of “Defaults” and “Redirections”. • A single drop entry point will be returned for each CIN Group, Discount, ZIP Range and Pallet Code. Exceptions will be grouped together in shades of gray in the following instances • Truck Size Redirections • Different Effective Date Ranges • Multiple Entry Points for some BMC Discount Drop Entry Points (ASF and BMC) • A drop entry point will only have an effective start, end and grace date • The Search Criteria will remain the same as the Default and Redirection View

  9. To-Be Mail Direction Search Report – Label List View • The Label List View of the Mail Direction Search is based off search criteria from Label Lists and specific Labels. • A single Label List can be chosen and all “Default” and “Redirections” for that Label List will be displayed (3-digit lists only). • A Label List can be filtered to show all the “Default” and “Redirections” for a specific label. • “Default” and “Redirections” will only be displayed for Label Lists applicable to Destination Discounts • The Search Criteria will remain the same as the Default and Redirection View

  10. Mail Direction File v2 • The Mail Direction File v2 will list all current and future “Drop Entry Points” eliminating “Default” and “Redirections” similar to the Mail Direction Search Drop Entry Point View. • No more “Default Records” or “Default Drop End Date” • File Size Expected to grow substantially • Expected record count between 5-6 Million Records • Record size will be larger with the addition of Label, Label List and Truck Size fields • The Mail Direction File v2 will introduce “Truck Size Drop Entry Point” by specifically indicating if a drop entry point is for a truck size over or under a certain length. • The Mail Direction File v2 will include “Label” and “Label List” in the format. • The Mail Direction File v2 will be available for download on the FAST Resources > Drop Ship Product File Download. • The Mail Direction File will be available for an undetermined amount of time.
