Calo ECS issues and pending tasks

  2. Meeting Goals • Review pilot run issues • Review pending tasks • Distribute and plan. Calo ECS meeting - Xvc

Issues (i) • SPD temperature monitoring: • Reading problems  wrong alarm messages (values above the threshold) … • But no automatic actions taken: they are based on “permanent” error detection • Try to fix it during the technical stop: • Access to the ECAL platform to check the reading of the regulator boards and glitches • Modify DCS in order to send alarm messages only for “permanent” error • PS temperature monitoring: • CANBUS problem: fake disconnected probes • STOP/RESET/START of the canbus but problem reappeared few days later  reboot of the PC! • Maraton (ECAL8) • 2 channels not used send alarms … Calo ECS meeting - Xvc

  4. Issues (ii) • Some intermittent errors/problems: • on ECAL HV … • To save recipes in the config database • After a restart of PVSS project the owner of the project could be an old one (stored in an hidden memory?) • The vanishing PS/SPD LED panel Calo ECS meeting - Xvc

Pending tasks (i) • SPD Regulator board DU • General back-up policy • Warning/alarms from INFDAI if turbine problems • To set-up rack monitoring projects (warning, alarms from Maratons, turbines published on CALO display) • Publication ot some DSS alarms (water flow stops, …) and use for safety. • Calo HV top CU to be improved • Improve the logics of the HV_TOP CUs so that displaying correct HV status without being able to act on HV settings … • Cleanly eliminate the LV and MV configurators Calo ECS meeting - Xvc
