  1. MSS NavigationLesson 2 • After completing this lesson you will be able to navigate to different areas in MSS SAP to perform different actions, such as process HR transactionsand generate reports.

  2. SAP MSS Navigation Overview

  3. MSS Navigation • The My Team / Action Initiation on the MSS page is used to initiate an action into the process • When you have completed a form, it will be entered automatically into the approval process Navigation: Overview

  4. MSS Navigation • General MSS Reportsis used to run a report; when completed, you can easily save the report as an Excel spreadsheet Navigation: Overview

  5. MSS Navigation • My Request Status On the Task & Status tab, My Request Status allows you access to all in process and completed forms that you have been involved with. Navigation: Overview

Forms • Before you begin, you must have information ready, such as: • Org Code • Cost Center Code • To save frustration, delays, and errors, have the Cost Center Code on hand BEFORE opening a form! * The Cost Center Code can be retrieved from the Employee Organizational Assignment Report or from your Business Unit Finance department Navigation: Overview

MSS Navigation • To view forms, you MUST have: • Adobe Reader 8 as an absolute minimum; it is strongly recommended that you have Adobe Reader 10 or higher • All visuals used in this course were captured from Adobe Reader 10 • If you are not using version 10, your results may differ from the graphics shown in this course Navigation: Overview

  9. Navigation • When you log into SAP MSS you will land on the Employee Self Service (ESS) page Navigation: Process

  10. Navigation • At the top of the page are navigation tabs; your access level will determine the number and titles of tabs available to you Navigation: Process

  11. Navigation • When you first log into SAP MSS, you will see the ESS page; to navigate to MSS, click the Manager Self Service tab Navigation: Process

  14. My Team / Action Initiations • The gray column is the Detailed Navigation pane, used to navigate to any action within the tab selected • From here, you can view the SAPMSS Overview, initiate an action to complete a Form or run a General MSS Report Navigation: Details Pane

  15. Navigation Process My Team / Action InitiationTopic 3 After completing this topic, you will be able to navigate to the My Team / Action Initiation link in the Task and Status tab.

My Team / Action Initiations • To initiate a form to process a HR transaction, click My Team/Initiate Action in the Detailed Navigation pane • This will start the process to select an employee, open a form, complete it, and send it to the proper person in the workflow approval My Team / Action Initiation: Process

  17. My Team / Action Initiations • After selecting the My Team / Action Initiation, the list of employees who directly report to you will be displayed My Team / Action Initiation: Process

  18. My Team / Action Initiations • The Progress Tracker lets you know where you are, what steps you have completed, and what steps still need to be completed as you move through the process My Team / Action Initiation: Process

  19. My Team / Action Initiations • The Employee Selection allows you to filter employees by selecting an option from the drop-down list: direct employees or all employees in your org structure My Team / Action Initiation: Process

My Team / Action Initiations • Select Process will advance you to this pop-up box (note where you are on the Progress Tracker ) • This page will allow you to select the form you wish to complete for the employee you selected in the previous step • This is the list of forms available to you My Team / Action Initiation: Process

  27. My Team / Action Initiations • Select the form from the list that you wish to process • Once you have selected a form, click Edit to open the form Open the Form for Editing
