  2. DIET • The black shoulderd kite eats rodents, grass hoppers and smaller birds. • They sometimes eat small reptiles like little snakes and frogs. Rabbits too. • They kill and eat about thee animals a day which adds up to about 2,000 animals a year. • They have small beaks and they are very sharp so they are good at chewing up boney food. • They can fly 1,000kms from there nest to hunt for food.

  3. WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE • BEAKS: They have little beaks that are extra sharp. • EYES: They all have red eyes which are like lava. • WEIGHT: They are not heavy. They are 2.91gms. • COLOUR: The adults are pale grey with a white breast and head. • WINGS: The wing span is 80 to 90cms. When they soar they curve there wing into a V shape. • SIZE: They can grow up to 36 to 38cms.

  4. HABITATS These sort of birds live in open grass land. There nests are very twigy. They like little dead trees for lookouts.
