  2. Replace existing data warehouse with Ellucian’s ODS / EDW • Install 2 new components: RAP & SRP • Replace BI Query tool with Cognos reporting tool Project Overview

Current data warehouse structure doesn’t meet the complex reporting needs of the University • Additional Banner data in the data warehouse • Improved reporting tool with new features and functions • More robust, improved reporting including dashboards • Reporting from BRM (Banner Relationship Management) Why?

  4. ODS = Operational Data Store • Used for Operational reporting • Ad-hoc reporting • More flattened data than Banner ODS

  5. EDW = Enterprise Data Warehouse • More Aggregated data • Snapshots of data • Used for Analytics and Trend reporting EDW

  6. RAP = Recruitment & Admissions Performance • SRP = Student Retention Performance • Integrate with BRM • Pre-developed reports from Ellucian that utilize EDW RAP & SRP
