4. The Collection • Audiobooks: 4042 titles (since June 2008) • eBooks: 5055 titles (since Dec. 1, 2010) • Duplicate copies of popular titles (8,552 copies of ebooks, for ex.) • 25 “Always Available” audio titles • Audio formats: wma and mp3 • eBook formats: ePUB, pdf, and Kindle

5. Downloading • Intended for home use • Patrons download and install free software • Content can be transferred to portable devices • Some audiobooks can be burned to CDs • Audio book titles can be downloaded in pieces, helpful for slower connections

6. The Basics One time: download software or app to manage digital rights & “libraries” • Browse or Search for title (audio- or e-book) • Add to Cart, Check Out • (If in circ, add to wait list) • Download—to computer or mobile device • Transfer, if desired, from computer to portable device

10. Authentication • Through WILBOR’s EZ-Proxy, or through your automation system • After selecting their “home library,” patrons login using their barcode number (and a PIN, if your library is authenticating through your automated system)

Circ Stats & Cataloging … • MARC records available (paid by WILBOR) • Audiobooks “checked out” for 1 week: eBooks for 2 weeks • Most titles are 1 download-at-a-time; 25 audiobook titles are “always available” list, allowing for unlimited number of patrons downloading title at the same time • Library-specific statistics are available

12. Circ Policies: • 3 books (audio and/or e-)checked out at one time • 5 books in cart; remain in cart 30 minutes • 3 books on wait list at one time • Loan period: Audiobooks: 1 week (no early return) eBooks: 2 weeks (early return)
