  2. Installing SQL 2005 Express

  3. Remove the check to access the advanced configuration options.

  4. It is important to always select a default instance if this is the first/only instance of SQL installed.

  5. Installing SQL 2008 Express

  6. TCP/IP and Named Pipes must be enabled On the mobile client.

  8. Creating The Distributor

  9. Enable the Publisher License process has been moved to the publisher tab so you can license for mobile, ekg and dashboard prior to enabling a database as a publisher.  Drop down has been added to allow license add-on products  EKG, Dashboard and IFC codes.

  10. Subscriptions Tab Subscriber list grid has increased in size, also the ability to add a description for the mobile unit has been added along with the ability to license for EKG, Dashboard, IFC Codes, and/or Apex

  11. Adding subscriber prompts you to login to mobile unit now.

  12. After initial merge agent completes the custom mobile static data push occurs, this is mostly administration data that was removed from the bi-directional sync process to increase performance during the sync process. 

  13. The layout on the subscription tab has changed a little.

  14. New file management options to facilitate sending reports and attachments to mobile devices.

  15. Support Tips • 1. MUST be able to ping by name both ways. • 2. Can not image SQL on the mobile units. • 3. Mobile units DSN should be pointing to itself. • 4. Client issues always reset permissions on the mobile.
